Privacy Policy

Your beat library stays on your device unless you choose to share it. BeatGlow has no app account, advertising, or cross-app tracking. Optional AI generation sends your style text and security information to our service. Optional BeatGlow Pro purchases and restores use Apple's App Store services.

What stays on your device

Your patterns, songs, mixer settings, and sound-design tweaks are stored in the app on your device, not in a library on our servers. Your device or computer backups may contain this data, depending on your Apple and backup settings.

Audio (WAV) and video (MP4) exports are rendered on your device. Pattern files (.funbeats) and library packs (.funbeatspack) are created on your device too. Where any of these go afterwards is entirely your choice via the iOS share sheet. BeatGlow does not upload those exports to us. A destination you choose, such as a cloud drive or another app, handles them under its own privacy practices.

BeatGlow Pro purchases and restores

Version 1.2 introduces an optional, one-time BeatGlow Pro purchase for watermark-free video exports. Apple handles payment, purchase confirmation, and Restore Purchases through StoreKit. Apple may require your Apple Account; BeatGlow does not create a separate account or receive your payment-card details or Apple Account password.

The app reads Apple's signed transaction and entitlement information to determine whether Pro is unlocked, including whether a transaction is valid or revoked. This verification is performed on your device; BeatGlow does not send your purchase receipts or transaction history to our beat-generation server. We may receive sales and financial reports from Apple. Apple's handling of purchase and account information is described in Apple's privacy policy.

Product availability, purchasing, and restoring can contact Apple even if you do not use AI generation. Making and playing beats and rendering exports happen on your device; watermark-free exports require a verified Pro entitlement.

Generate with AI

When you use Generate with AI, the short style description you typed (for example "laid-back boom bap") is sent over an encrypted HTTPS connection to a beat-generation service we operate on Cloudflare, which forwards it to Anthropic's Claude API. Claude returns a drum pattern, which the app loads for you to edit.

• We send Anthropic your style text inside a fixed beat-generation prompt, not your saved library, App Attest key, or purchase information. Please do not put personal or sensitive information in the style text.
• Our service processes the style and returned pattern to fulfill your request; it does not save them as a content history or include them in our AI usage metrics.
• Anthropic's commercial API data is not used for model training by default. Its standard input/output retention is up to 30 days, subject to its stated safety, legal, contractual, and other exceptions. See Anthropic's API data practices and retention policy. We do not promise zero retention by Anthropic.

Security and abuse prevention

AI requests use Apple's App Attest service to help verify that they come from a genuine app installation. The app exchanges a key identifier, cryptographic proofs, and short-lived challenges with our Cloudflare service. The private key stays protected on your device. Our service retains the public verification key, its identifier, an anti-replay counter, verification environment, and registration time. This record expires 180 days after its last successful registration or verification; continued use renews that period. It is used for security, not advertising or tracking across apps.

Your IP address is also visible to Cloudflare and our service. We store an IP-based hourly request counter to limit abuse of free AI generation. Each counter expires approximately 62 minutes after its last update. We do not use it to derive your location or create a marketing profile.

Operational metrics and diagnostics

We record AI request outcomes, model name, token counts, estimated cost, response status, completion reason, and response time to monitor reliability and cost. These metric records contain no style text, saved beats, IP addresses, App Attest keys, or user identifiers. Cloudflare Analytics Engine retains them for three months; aggregate reports may be kept longer for product and cost planning.

Our Cloudflare service also produces request and diagnostic logs, including operational errors and attestation results. These logs support troubleshooting and security and are retained in Workers Logs for up to seven days. Cloudflare processes network and request information to provide and secure its hosting service; see Cloudflare's privacy policy. Service providers may process information outside your country.

We may use the download, sales, usage, and diagnostic reports Apple makes available to developers, including information shared according to your Apple privacy settings. The app contains no third-party advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDKs. It does not use advertising identifiers, sell personal data, or share data for cross-app targeted advertising.

Children's privacy

BeatGlow has no app accounts, public profiles, chat, or in-app social feed. We do not ask for a child's name, age, or contact details. The optional network features process the information described above, so children should not enter personal information in AI prompts. Parents can manage purchases with Apple's parental controls. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information that we should address.

Your choices and privacy requests

You can make beats without using AI generation or buying Pro. To remove the app's local library, delete the app; separately manage exported files and any device or cloud backups. Deleting the app does not cancel or erase your Apple purchase history, and it does not immediately delete security records already held by our service.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, or object to certain processing. Contact us below to make a request. Because we do not have BeatGlow accounts, we may need limited information to locate a record and verify your request. Please do not send passwords, payment details, or private keys. Security and legal requirements may limit what we can delete.

If you email support, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include. We use that correspondence to respond and resolve your request and retain it as needed for support and applicable legal obligations.

Changes

We update this policy when BeatGlow's practices change and show the effective date above. This update describes the existing AI security and operational processing and the optional Pro purchase introduced with version 1.2.
